Make Money With Youtube - How I Made $630 Today Using Video
But before I jump into the anatomy of this process, I want to start by saying that if you're an internet marketer and not currently using video to either promote yourself or your business, then you are not maximizing all of the social media mediums at your disposal. Video currently represents the most powerful free marketing tool available, allowing us to share our message with thousands of people from all over the world.
Okay, so in simple terms, this is exactly how I make money with video, and more importantly, how I was able to make money with Youtube this very afternoon.
1) The first thing I did was create a quick video pertaining to successful entrepreneurship and post it on Youtube (which in this case was a video discussing the merits of the book 'The 4 Hour Workweek' by Tim Ferriss) as a resource to aspiring entrepreneurs. Since my target audience is comprised of aspiring online entrepreneurs, I try to make videos that are educational in nature that actually teach people how to build a business online. Subsequently, I made this video several months ago.
2) My prospect, who would eventually join my business, was searching Youtube one day from his home in Australia for information on the book 'The 4 Hour Workweek.' When he entered the title of the book, my video came up first on his search. He clicked on my link and watched my video.
3) After watching the video and wanting to know more about me and what my business was, he clicked on the link to my website (placed conveniently and deliberately in the description section next to the video.)
4) After visiting my website, he opted-in to my email list, and then began receiving follow-up, educational video emails from me on a wide range of internet marketing topics.
5) As his interest in online business grew, he began sending me emails wanting to know more about how I was making money online, and how possible it would be for him to duplicate my results.
6) After a few conversations, he acknowledged that he wanted to join my business. The next day (today), I received an email from my company saying that he had just joined my team and that I had generated a $630 commission.
In summary, this new teammate and my $630 commission resulted from one video that I made several months back. It was a video that took me an hour to make and put on Youtube, and that was it. Of course there were other factors that led to this sale in addition to the video, like me responding to some of his questions and me having an opportunity to offer him in the first place (i.e., the company I have been apart of for several years). But my point here is that this whole process started with video...one video that was made for free. I have many, many more videos on a wide range of topics that work for me in the same way across the internet. Remember, video marketing is a powerful thing. Once you make a video, it will work for you again and again, so don't forget to take advantage of this free marketing strategy.

Building a Profitable Online Sales Funnel
Now, whether you use pay-per-click advertising, video marketing, ezine articles, or any of the other lead creating techniques, your sales funnel begins when someone gives you their name and contact information. But remember, before you even get to the front end of the sales funnel, you need to master the skill of attracting prospects to your website. This is one of the first critical skills that an internet marketer must learn – how to generate traffic to his/her capture page.
Once you bring a prospect into the sales funnel, it is your job to keep them engaged and interested in what you have to offer. If your correspondence with them via email autoresponder is weak and lacking substance, then you will probably lose them as a future customer. The goal at the beginning of the sales funnel is to prove that you can add value. If you can get your prospects to know, like and trust you, then there is a good chance they will do business with you in the future. My advice is to not try and make money off your prospects at the front end of the sales funnel. This is just my opinion. Many marketers do try to sell some small informational product on the front end, but I don't like to do this. At the beginning of the funnel, my only goal is to add value, and at the same time both qualify and disqualify leads.
With regards to your email autoresponder, I believe you should have frequent follow-up correspondence with your list. Oftentimes, your emails will prove too many for some prospects and they will simply opt out of your list. This is perfectly fine. In fact, we want some people to opt out. That may sound strange, but if someone gets tired reading your emails, then they probably won't have the patience to succeed in your online business. That makes sense, doesn't it?! Weeding out the field is a smart idea. We don't want everyone, we only want the prospects who want what WE have to offer.
Once you begin to establish a relationship with your prospects, you can start marketing to them. This takes place near the middle of the funnel. Maybe you offer a low ticket internet marketing boot camp first, and then later on offer up your high ticket opportunity. Similarly, depending on what you want to do, you can also offer products at the back-end of the funnel, both for those who elect to join your primary opportunity and those who don't. I'll expound upon this idea in one of my next postings. For now, just remember how the sales funnel should function.
1. Sales funnel begins when a prospect opts-in to your capture page.
2. It continues with you adding value via email autoresponder. Send your prospects useful information about online business and succeeding as an internet marketer. I recommend refraining from upfront sales pitches.
3. Once you develop a relationship whereby your prospects start to know, like and trust you, you can then start marketing your lower ticket products.
4. Then move towards marketing your primary opportunity.
5. At the back end, offer products which can both be used by the prospects who join your primary opportunity and those who don't.
I look forward to continuing this discussion on the sales funnel soon.

Dan

Why You Need a Mentor in Internet Marketing
Nowadays, there are so many different ways we can use automation and leverage to our advantage. If we don't have a teacher or a mastermind group, we risk the chance of losing ground to our competition in this respect. A mentor will show us how to employ maximum amounts of automation and leverage in our business, and in turn make us more efficient. There are still great fortunes to be made online, but there is also great competition, so we need every advantage we can afford. Having someone to guide us is one advantage that we should not go without. A simple analogy would be like driving from Maine to California without a map - most likely you would get there eventually, but why would you want to try? As internet marketers and online business owners, we need someone who can show us a roadmap.
Obviously, you want to choose a mentor who shares your own personal philosophy, and who has already made it through the learning curve that you will undoubtedly go through. So, the process of pairing yourself with a teacher and leader might take time, but it will be well worth the effort.

Keyword Locator - My Favorite Keyword Locator Tool For Massive Traffic
Doing keyword research without a keyword locator tool is quite time consuming and it is not an exact science. It's like driving without a map or throwing darts in the dark. You might find your way eventually, but you run the risk of missing out on great keywords and revenue opportunities along the way.
For about my first year marketing online, I did not use a keyword locator tool and I paid a heavy price.
Despite my most valiant efforts, I missed out on many niche keywords related to my business, and in turn, I was getting pummeled by my competition on the search engines. Finally, I purchased a keyword research tool and it turned out to be one of the best investments I've ever made. It wasn't expensive and it paid itself off in the value that it added in about a week.
Remember, if you choose the wrong keyword, you could end up setting yourself back several months by promoting it. It would be a shame to learn that you had spent all this time promoting a keyword that everyone else was promoting, thus making it almost impossible to stand out on the search engines. Even worse, imagine if you were promoting a keyword that wasn't even being searched all! That's a mistake no one wants to make!
The keyword research tool I've been using which has done wonders for me is Micro Niche Finder. If you're looking, definitely check it out here: Micro Niche Finder
Have a great day!

Online Success - The 5 Essentials
Here they are (in no particular order):
1) Tenacity - The ability to say, "I am going to succeed as an internet marketer no matter what, and I am never going to give up." Tenacity is the sheer will that drives you through the hard times even when everyone else says you will fail. All of the successful people in the world have it in common - they never quit! If they had quit along the way, the would not be the successes they are today. Think about it. The only way you cannot lose is to never quit. Tenacity gets you up early in the morning and keeps you up late at night.
2) Consistency - Consistency is king in internet marketing. If you miss a week, you can lose out. A little activity every day will carry you a long way. No matter what your goals are online, consistency will take you there. You must constantly be sowing in the Spring if you expect to have a harvest in the Fall.
3) Confidence - As I have said in previous articles, insecurity will kill your online business. Show confidence in everything you do, whether it be during a webinar with your new prospects, while mentoring your downline or whatever. Remember, people are looking to join with a leader. People don't buy businesses, they buy people. So it is really YOU that you are selling. That said, don't sell yourself short. Be confident and explode your enterprise!
4) Automation - The highest goal in online business is to achieve the greatest amount of success with the least amount of effort. That is where the internet comes in. Use it to automate, automate, automate!! Your goal should be to automate more and more of your daily activities with each passing week. Determine what you can and can't automate and then get after it. Some of the biggies here are:
1) Make sure you have an email auto responder that works for you 24/7 - following up with your prospects for you.
2) Set up a capture page that collects the contact information of your prospects and actively builds your list.
5) Leverage - This one goes along with automation and it is equally as important. The internet gives us the power to do both. Use leverage to spread your content across the Web as quickly and efficiently as possible. When you create a piece of content, don't just submit it once. Instead, submit it many times over - as an article, video, press release and as a blog, and blast it to a myriad of sites. This is leverage! Remember to also:
1) Leverage the work of your downline to make you richer. Do this by training your downline to succeed. This requires a lot of your time but it is well worth it.
2) Leverage the power of outsourcing. Outsource the menial tasks that don't make sense for you to occupy yourself with. This way it's twofold - you leverage the work of others by outsourcing, and you leverage your own time by focusing only on the most important activities like producing great content and training your team.
So that's it. These are the 5 things that have helped me the most. Tenacity, consistency, confidence, automation and leverage.

How Insecurity Will Bring Down Your Online Business
Most of us have been insecure at one time or another, but those who achieve success don't let insecurity rule them. Instead they fight through it until they gain confidence in what they're doing. Insecurity causes many problems for internet marketers. For example, if you're insecure:
1) You'll be less likely to put yourself in front of a camera and make videos or write articles
2) You'll never instill confidence in your downline and
3) You probably won't be an active prospector, resulting in lost opportunity and lost revenue.
The best way to combat insecurity is to have something good to say and to consistently put out useful content. You'll notice I say "consistently" because that is key. If you are not active then you are not really in the game. We all know that consistent action rules the day in internet marketing. Make sure you don't lose sight of this. Once you commit to consistent action and people begin to benefit from your content, more prospects will seek you out as a mentor. And when your downline begins to grow, you'll gain more confidence as a recruiter, mentor and team builder.
If you are new to the business, then the key for you is to not let your lack of experience lead to insecurity. I admit this can be difficult to do. My advice is to hit the ground running. Once you have something useful to say, do it and do it confidently. And remember, once you start building your own downline, you have to be aware that your teammates will face their own insecurities. Show them how to overcome their nervousness, and convey to them that their success depends on it. Beware that many new internet marketers want to hide the fact that their insecurity is causing their inactivity, so instead they point to procrastination as being their downfall. .
To Summarize
1) Don't let insecurity stop you from consistently putting out good content online.
2) By having something good to say, you will be more comfortable sharing it, and in turn you will gain confidence as a result.
3) People buy leaders, they don't buy businesses. If you're insecure, no one will want to join you. Be confident!

How Not to Be Naïve When Joining an Online Business
Here are my thoughts on the most common exaggerations I hear by recruiters in the industry. Beware!
1. "Our turnkey system does 90-100% of the marketing and selling for you!"
Actually, there are no turnkey systems that do all the marketing and selling for you - only ones that help with the explaining and the information gathering process. Please don't be gullible here. Most affiliate marketers have replicated websites that certainly do have a helpful place, but they do not and will not replace your human effort.
2. "Being an internet marketer is easy."
Not true. No business endeavor is easy. However, in theory internet marketing is not that complicated, but it does require great consistency and effort - especially during the heavy learning curve period of the first few months. Fortunately, the financial rewards in this industry can be huge. The great advantage of internet marketing is that massive amounts of automation and leverage can be used to your advantage every day. Compared to starting a typical brick and mortar business, most online businesses have very inexpensive entry price points and are far less risky.
3. "There is no selling involved."
Umm...I don't think so. Most internet marketers are essentially affiliate marketers who market the products or service of a larger company. So yes, there is selling. I for example market Platinum One Destinations travel memberships. What I will say though is that online marketing can be done in a non-aggressive way which doesn't require upfront selling - instead relying on telling your own story and using personal branding to showcase yourself as a leader. If you provide useful information about online business upfront, you can then let prospects discover your opportunity on their own. This way, your prospects can approach you instead of you having to chase them. This is very different from the old school marketing methodology, where upfront direct sales pitches were the norm.
4. "To succeed in online business, you need to actively buy leads and spend your days calling them."
False. In the past however, this was the case for most network marketers, who generated their prospects by calling generic, paid for leads. These leads were often not targeted, and thus, required lots of human effort to warm them up. Luckily, today we have the opportunity to market our businesses online and let prospects come to us. Personally, I don't pay for leads and I don't cold call. I use what's called "my story marketing" and I do my marketing online.
In essence, "my story marketing" is just leading with your own story instead of directly pitching your opportunity. By leading with your story and by branding yourself as a leader online, people can essentially "get to know you" before they are presented with your opportunity. This is good because in reality, people don't buy businesses, they buy people. So, the next time someone joins your business, remember they're not really buying an opportunity, they're buying you...as a leader. So make sure when you start marketing online that you tell your story well and really convey to your prospects how you can help them succeed.
5. "Anyone can succeed in internet business."
Actually, 97% of the people who start in online business never make any money. So really, most people can't succeed. The big key lies in aligning yourself with a mentor who knows how to market online - and who can teach you to leverage your time and resources effectively. Obviously, you need dedication, consistency and patience to achieve success, just like with any other business. But if you don't have a knowledgeable mentor, then you most likely won't be able to become a top earner in the industry.

How to Leverage Your Efforts For Online Business Success
In big business, companies use leverage by borrowing money from banks and investors to fund their expansion. They also leverage time by outsourcing operations externally that normally would have taken the efforts of their direct staff.
We, as online business owners and internet marketers, can use leverage to grow and expand our businesses as well. In this article, I want to show you a few ways to do this.
Suggestions
1. When you create content to submit online - think with the end in mind!! Make sure that what you want to say can be easily converted across the variety of Web 2.0 mediums out there. (For example: all content you produce should be submitted as a video, as an article, as a press release, as a blog post and as a podcast.) To make sure this is possible, it helps if you map out your content before you submit it anywhere. You should ask yourself, "Can I turn this piece of information into all of the above mediums in order to maximize my online presence?" If the answer is yes, then you are leveraging your time properly.
The content I'm producing here is a good example. Instead of just submitting this article to Ezine, I've submitted it to 20 other article sites, 10 video sites, 3 blog sites, 5 press release sites and 2 podcasts. Effectively, I'm creating 40 backlinks with just one piece of content, directly increasing the search engine ranking for my primary business opportunity website and generating lots of free leads and traffic in the process! If I were to submit four pieces of content, that would be a total of 160 backlinks!! This is powerful stuff! I'm absolutely certain that if you do this, you will see a big difference in your business.
2. Another great way to leverage is to outsource whenever it makes sense. I say "whenever it makes sense" because often certain tasks are best done by you. However, submitting your content to video, article, press release, podcast and blog sites admittedly takes a lot of time. Thus, I suggest outsourcing it if you can. There are plenty of companies that offer virtual assistants from around the globe whose services you can rent for a very reasonable hourly rate. It makes sense to outsource the job of submitting your content across the Web. This inevitably frees up more of your time to create valuable content for your prospects.
Obviously, if you're just starting out, you may not have the financial resources to outsource, but I think leveraging your valuable time by outsourcing is a great goal to strive for. I truly hope these suggestions help your bottom line in 2009.
Best,
Dan

Your Online Business - Why You Should Change Who You're Marketing To
This is a mistake I made when I first started in online business, and I can assure you I didn't make much money in the process. What I came to realize was that my marketing was failing me by attracting the wrong type of individuals. Once I determined this and made a change, my business picked up and I began attracting prospects who were success-minded and of a higher socioeconomic class. So don't try to market to everyone...because you'll waste a ton of time in the process. Instead, let your marketing do the sorting and be sure to target your message to people who can actually afford your program.
So How Do You Attract Successful People to Your Opportunity?
1) You need to be very careful of the language you use on your website and your other marketing. For example, if the first line of your website reads "Are you sick and tired of creditors calling you all the time?" then most likely the people you will attract with this marketing will be those who are in debt and have creditors calling them all the time. You probably don't want this. So, use language that suggests your opportunity is for people who are success-minded professionals rather than those who have no money.
2) Avoid using hype in your marketing...period! Smart people don't respond well to hype. Be straight-forward, honest and don't exaggerate.
In Summary
Remember, most people don't have what it takes to succeed as an online entrepreneur and you're not going to be able to change this. No matter how great a mentor and trainer you are, it's not going to alter the fact that 97% of people will either lack the internal fortitude or the stay-with-it power to persevere through the learning curve of the first few months. We all know that success in internet marketing takes determination and commitment, so why would you seek out anyone who doesn't possess these qualities? It just wouldn't make any sense.
Personally, I only market to people who have money because my program with Platinum One Destinations is a high-ticket opportunity that requires a $1500 upfront purchase, plus another recommended $1500 for marketing over the first few months. In my marketing, I let people know this virtually upfront so that we don't waste any time. Leading people through the sales funnel, only to find out that they can't and won't join because they don't have any money is pointless for everyone.
To Your Success,
Dan

The Basic Blueprint For Online Business Success
1) Are you a focused and determined internet marketer? and
2) Through your internet marketing campaigns, are you able to build solid relationships with targeted prospects, and in turn, help them see value in your business and a leader in you?
You probably already know if you're a good internet marketer. I mean, you're either generating leads or you're not...it's pretty simple. If you learn the correct way to market your opportunity online, then you'll save yourself the agony of trying to actively convince and sell to people who never wanted to be sold to in the first place! There won't be any cold calling, or trying to work your warm market of family and friends. Instead, your marketing will be laser-targeted to the individuals who are actually looking for what you have to offer and eager to join your business. This is called "attraction based marketing."
Once you pinpoint your target audience, then you need to deliver useful content to them - content that will assist them on their path to success, while at the same time establishing you as a leader. Remember, the more insightful and generous your content is, the more your prospects will trust you and the more likely they will seek you out as a mentor. You should make a conscious effort to add value each and every time you publish content online. Making direct sales pitches, or leading with your opportunity is "old school" marketing that just doesn't work anymore. Note that 97% of people in online business fail because their marketing strategy is comprised of upfront sales pitches. If you want to attract affluent, motivated entrepreneurs to your business, don't do this. Intelligent entrepreneurs hate being sold to!
Part of successful internet marketing is being able to tell your own story and convey to others what has worked for you. If you can clearly articulate how you've found success, a prospect will have a better idea whether or not they can emulate your path and succeed as well. If your story is vague or uncertain, however, you won't instill much confidence. Be candid, direct and unselfish in your giving of knowledge. If you do this, then you will attract the right people. The great thing about attraction based marketing is that the traffic you generate is free. With Web 2.0 sites like YouTube, Facebook and EzineArticles, you have millions of potential leads to attract. Take advantage of the massive leverage the internet provides and then teach your teammates to do the same.
Happy 2009!

Phuket, Thailand
I actually read a study the other day by Forbes magazine which said that within 5 years, an estimated 80 million Americans will be involved with some sort of online business!! I couldn't believe how high this figure was, but was really excited at the possibility of so many new business partners over the next few years. There truly is a paradigm shift happening among many in the developed world, to seek out entrepreneurial careers as opposed to just following a corporate path. Certainly something to think about....

Taking Your Business Abroad
So I made the decision back in August to spend the entire Fall in Asia and take my business with me. Fast forward a month and here I am, writing this post to you from Kobe, Japan - where I've been since I left the U.S. back on August 30th. One of the reasons I'm here is to prove that mobile entrepreneurship is very possible. I've been talking about it for a long time, and I really wanted to make it happen. There are many entrepreneurs already working remotely from around the world....and the fact is, it's NOT that difficult to do.
In my next post, I'm going to talk about some of the most important considerations and things to remember before taking your online business abroad. I'm off to Thailand in two days so I've got some packing to do now. I'll be there for all of October...so you can be pretty sure my next post will be from the beach! I will definitely make more videos and posts as this experiment abroad continues.
Before I go, here is a quick video I made while hiking in the mountains in central Japan a few days ago. Hopefully, if nothing else, this post will inspire you to the possibilities of online business and the ability to work remotely from anywhere in the world.
Talk to you Soon,

Building Your Business From Anywhere!
If this thought has crossed your mind, then we have something in common! This was the idea that prompted me to break away from my career path in Corporate America and become an entrepreneur. To this day, it is one of the best decisions I have ever made.I love to travel, and I've spent over two years of my life living abroad in Japan, Thailand, France and Jamaica. I'm living the way most people trapped in corporate jobs never will. WITH FREEDOM! The majority of individuals struggle in their jobs for decades just in hopes of having the freedom that today's entrepreneur does.
It's funny because I once asked a friend (who at the time was working stressful 80 hour weeks at an investment bank) what he would do if he ever made the millions of dollars that he was working so hard to acquire. Without hesitation he said, "Take a long trip to Thailand." Imagine that! So many people, just like my friend, spend their entire lives working for someone else, just to have the chance to go where they want when they retire! As an entrepreneur, I am already living that existence!! Of course, I work very hard at what I do and take my work very seriously, but I have the same freedom of mobility that a retiree does...and maybe even more! To go where I want whenever I want is a great feeling that I wish more people could experience.

Residual Income With Google AdSense
So recently, I've concentrated my efforts into doing so. One of the ways I've encountered (and I am certainly not the first) is through the use of Google Adsense. For those of you not familiar with Google AdSense, basically what it is is a program that allows you to run Google advertisements on your website, in exchange for being paid for each visitor that clicks one of the ads. Simply stated, you earn money from relevant adds that Google places on your website. This is a great way to monetize whatever website you may have, such as your blog!
As stated on Wikipedia "AdSense has been particularly important for delivering advertising revenue to small sites that do not have the resources for developing advertising sales programs and salespeople." Many entrepreneurs are using Adsense as a way to make a passive income to supplement their business income.
I just wanted to pass this idea on to you, in hopes it can help you attain the passive income you've been looking for. For more insight, you can check out the main link here for Google AdSense.
As I've said in previous posts, I'm determined to help others create a lifestyle that will make them more free to enjoy the finer things in life like family, time freedom and the opportunity to travel and live anywhere in the world.

The Four Hour Work Week
I was an entrepreneur and home business owner long before I read this book, but reading it made me re-realize how lucky we are that we do have such a dynamic opportunity to build wealth as entrepreneurs....FROM ANYWHERE WE WANT! Having freedom of mobility is the main reason I became an entrepreneur. I love being able to live where I want, move as often as I want, all while knowing I can run my Platinum One Destinations business and build wealth without sacrificing efficiency.
On the front cover of his book, Tim summarizes, "Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, And Join The New Rich" - an enticing offer indeed! Home business and online entrepreneurship is providing so many people with the chance to live where they want and create wealth in the process. It's definitely nowhere near being too late to jump aboard. In fact, the market for home based business is growing at tremendous speed.I encourage you to think about the possibilities...
Last year, I was living and working in Asia and had an amazing time. Above is a picture of me with some Japanese elementary school students in my town in Southern Japan.

Platinum One Destinations
Now I help others succeed in this business. I teach my team members how to harness the power of the internet to market themselves and their business. I show them how to attract free leads and traffic by telling their own story (as opposed to leading with their business) using social networking websites like Youtube, Myspace and Facebook. This strategy allows them to reach TENS OF THOUSANDS of potential prospects with their message in a very short amount of time. I do this alon with teaching them how to automate as much of their business as they can.
With P1D, The commissions on each transaction are high, ranging from $750 - $7500 and the support and training provided by the Synergy Marketing Group, the sales and support arm of P1D is superior to all of the other companies I've studied in this industry.
I always love to connect with other entrepreneurs, or even people who are just curious about what it would be like to leave the deferred life plan behind and create their own lifestyle.I hope you are having a great month of July!

Become An Entrepreneur And Change Your Life
The internet and it's amazing array of social networking websites allows you to market your business to tens of thousands of people around the globe, which has made becoming an entrepreneur easier than it has ever been. That's not to say there isn't competition out there(and why wouldn't there be with the prize at stake!!), but rather that there has never been as much incredible opportunity to build wealth and personal freedom as there is today, here in the first decade of the 21st century.
There are many reasons to become an entrepreneur and we all know what they are. For me it was mostly about gaining time and freedom of mobility. Being able to travel and live abroad, while building financial freedom at the same time was and is my BIG DREAM. I'm here to say that it's definitely possible to design any lifestyle you want. All you need to do is determine the dream and then systematically put the pieces together. I quit my job, found an entrepreneurial opportunity with Platinum One Destinations and took back my life. Now I teach others how to do the same.

Coming Home
I can't tell you how much fun I've had living abroad and experiencing life in other countries. The worth of these experiences to me is almost indescribable. I started traveling heavily when I was in college, but that came to a screeching hault once I graduated. For several years, I was pretty much bound to the "two weak" vacation of the business world. Not having much vacation time didn't sit well with me, but I took it in stride as part of the game, and one of the sacrifices necessary for moving up the ladder.
After a few years of this type of sacrifice, it finally hit me that I just wasn't going to be satisfied waiting until retirement to have time freedom, mobility and financial independence. Thus, I made the decision to remove myself from the deferred life plan mentality (i.e, the one where we sacrifice our early adult lives and middle age for the hope of a nice retirement). I just figured that there HAD to be a way to save for retirement while having more freedom along the way. Admittedly, leaving the coporate path was a tough thing for me to consider, because so many of my peers were seemingly happy with this life. I started out after college working in investment consulting, which I enjoyed well enough at the time. I liked the group of associates that I was a part of and there was a good balance between work and play. I definitely had the opportunity to make some great friends and learn a lot about finance from professionals who had spent their careers in the industry.
As I approached the 3+ year mark as an associate, I knew I was soon to be faced with the choice of business school or finding a new job. Very few if any ever climbed the ranks from associate up to management without first heading back for the mandatory 2 year stint in business school, so it was a perfect time for me to make my exit.
That's when I decided I needed to become an entrepreneur to have the lifestyle I wanted. I started networking with other entrepreneurs and found an opportunity for myself in the home based travel industry with a company called Coastal Vacations. It was here that I started to learn how to successfully apply internet marketing and personal developent to the building of my business. I ended up moving from Coastal when an opportunity to join Platinum One Destinations came about, and subsequently, I've been there ever since.
For me there are many keys to success in network marketing and home business. But in my opinion, some of the most important are:
1) Spending as much time developing yourself as you do your business! I believe that you have to focus on your own personal development and continuing education. This in turn will translate into more business success.
2) Have a really, REALLY good WHY for what you are doing. Having big goals like places you want to travel to, fortunes you want to make, a future family you want to support, or benevolences you want to give, will power you through the difficult time when your energy is low and confidence is even lower.
3) Learn how to use leverage in your business development! I teach my team members how to use Web 2.0 the right way. There are many ways to use leverage, like harnessing the power of the internet and learning from the experiences of those who have gone before you. These are just a few points that I will definitely talk more about soon.
Have a great week!

Hello World!
The greatest reward of these travels has without doubt been the friendships I’ve made along the way. I can’t think of anything more important in this lifetime than sharing your life with others and letting them do the same with you. I’ve been very fortunate to have met many kind hearted people and I owe them a lot. I truly believe we were meant to prosper on this Earth and that we can shape our own destiny by the kindness and support we give to others.
Working my own business has provided me the freedom of mobility to go where I want, when I want. I’ve decided against the deferred life plan, because I believe we have in this generation, the unique opportunity to have more freedom of choice in regards to our careers. I worked in investment consulting for 4 years after college, and although I liked what I did, I knew there were other ways to build a fulfilling life without having to sacrifice so much. Now, I am working to that end. I've found a remarkable opportunity with Platinum One Destinations in the home based travel industry.
I hope this blog can act as a window into this business and also how I pursue a life of time, place and financial freedom.
To Your Success,
Dan Snow
